Changes proposed in this Pull Request
As discussed here, WordPress.com account data (First Name, Last Name, Display Name) should not be editable from admins in Calypso. They should be editable only from each WordPress.com user respective https://wordpress.com/me – this path will be fixed here D61970-code for Atomic. This is already happening for Simple sites, with this diff we bring parity for Atomic (& Jetpack) sites too.
Testing instructions
Go to https://wordpress.com/people/team/ for each of the following scenarios and try to edit First Name, Last Name, Display Name for the current and another user.
Simple Sites
- The fields shouldn’t appear for any user
- Nothing should have changed, check for regressions
Atomic Sites
- The fields shouldn’t appear for WordPress.com linked users
- The fields should appear for local created users through
/wp-admin/user-new.php
Jetpack Sites
- Same as atomic
- Be ware that even a user may have been invited through WordPress.com to that site their info won’t be editable if they don’t explicit connect their account to WordPress.com
